Issues
The state of Florida is not without issues, whether it is government or legislative. It is at both state and city levels in Florida. The problem is “we the people” are left out of the loop when decisions are made for the most part. By that I mean we either do not get involved ourselves or we try to get involved and can’t get through red tape. At times it is because of transparency issues or lack of interest, and I believe that is most of the time lately.
Solutions
The solution is transparency and community involvement. We must stand up and take notice and then action. Get involved in local races such as school board, county commissioner, supervisor of elections and really any office.
Join your local clubs and get involved with the people of the city. Hold town halls to disseminate information to the city. If you do not want to hold office, you could always volunteer in the community. We the people need to make a stand for what we want to see in our community. How we want to live and what we want to leave to the future generations.
