With five decades spent in Charlotte County, Jeannine possesses an intimate understanding of its people, its vulnerabilities, and its vibrant history. Growing up and residing in Punta Gorda, she’s witnessed the city’s evolution firsthand.
Family Commitment
At the heart of Jeannine’s campaign is her family. Married to Mike Polk, a fifth-generation Punta Gordian, and raising two sons who represent the 6th generation, Jeannine’s roots in the community run deep. Mike’s role as her campaign manager reflects their shared passion for Punta Gorda’s future.
Professional Background
Jeannine’s professional journey is marked by dedication and experience. With 16 years spent teaching in Charlotte County schools, she’s played an integral role in shaping the lives of local youth. Over the past six years, she’s contributed to C. Michael Polk and Associates, a renowned commercial real estate appraisal firm with 30 years of industry presence.
Development Expertise
Together with Mike, Jeannine has played a pivotal role in developing commercial properties across Charlotte County. Their experience includes managing and maintaining 24,000 square feet of office and retail space over the past decade. With this hands-on experience, they bring a nuanced understanding of current market conditions and realistic development expectations to the table.
Political Experience
Jeannine’s commitment to public service extends beyond her candidacy. As the campaign manager for Debi Lux, she played a crucial role in securing a landslide victory over the incumbent in the recent November election for District 3 of Punta Gorda. Jeannine’s track record of success underscores her dedication to serving the people.
